Benefit Ka Brow

Benefit Ka Brow

Benefit recently relaunched their brow products as you're no doubt aware. I decided to try the Ka Brow as it's the most like my Anastasia Dip brow.

The cream gel is designed to fill, sculpt and define brows. Builds from natural looking to dramatic and is waterproof and designed to last 24 hours.

The brush is removable and then inverted and reinserted into the lid to form a handle. The gel is in the base.

There are 6 shades available and the great news is that once you find your shade it's the same for all products.  They range from 1 for platinum blondes through to 6 for black haired beauties.

I went for shade 4 as I received a sample in 6 from Elle and it was too dark.  Shade 4 it turns out was perfect for my medium brown hair.

I wore this to my brutally tough circuits class, I must add I only wear make up to the gym if I go after work. Otherwise I look like a beetroot after 5 minutes so why bother?! I had no problems with sweat breaking down the formula. Even when I forgot and wiped my face I didn't end up with my brow halfway across my forehead.

The amount supplied is much less than my dipbrow, which has currently lasted a year+ and is still going. So moving forward although this product is good for my the dipbrow is the queen and she isn't read to get off her throne yet.

Available from all usual Benefit stockists.

L'Oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation Review

I picked up the new L'Oreal cushion foundation after seeing several YouTube reviews on the Lumi cushion.

I have issues with foundation coverage as I have Rosacea and am prone to hormonal breakouts, oh, and if that's not enough my skin is very sensitive. My usual daily foundation is BareMinerals original loose foundation as it provides the cover I need with skin care benefits.

The Nude magique has an SPF of 28 so enough for most people, I always use an SPF containing moisturiser so it's just an added bonus.

I chose to use a beauty blender to apply but it does come with a sponge included.

Under the sponge is a little flap that you open to expose the foundation soaked mesh below. You only need to carefully press as a lot of product comes out otherwise and you really don't need much.

Here's my before photo, brace yourselves!! It was 6.30am in my defence.
As you can hopefully see, my skin is uneven in texture and colour.

Here's the after with all my over make up applied. I opted for the lightest shade and it appears to be a pretty good match.

I tested the wear on one of the hottest days of the year. I didn't touch up once and had set with my usual BareMinerals Mineral Veil after initial application but again no touchups.
This is after 13+ hours of wear. I think it held up very well and I'd happily wear on a regular basis.

L'Oreal Nude Magique Cushion is available now and retails at £9.99.

See you soon Belle's!
